The evening’s main attraction is a live auction of rare, unusual or simply hard-to-find wines generously donated by private donors and exclusive restaurant cellars. Sommelier Keith Nicholson and Roshan Vickery of Kilshaw’s Auctioneers return to host the live auction.
Wine lover and writer-about-town Robert Moyes is preparing informally informative notes for each of the wines in the event’s live auction. Some of the wines featured include a sextet of 2005 Bordeaux beauties, a 1988 Château Mouton Rothschild, and a 1966 Château Pape Clément. The evening will also feature a silent auction where guests can bid on a range of wine packages, dining travel and unique experiences.
At Crush, guests will enjoy fine wine tasting from some of BC’s best wineries. Inn at Laurel Point Executive Chef Takashi Ito will dazzle palates with exquisite cuisine, paired perfectly with the fine wines poured by BC vintners. Ocean 98.5 morning hosts Michael Forbes and Lisa Marshall will be the hosts for the evening, and The Joey Smith Trio will entertain guests throughout the festivities.
Proceeds from Crush support the Belfry Theatre’s ongoing operations, as well as its mandate to produce contemporary theatre and promote artistic, cultural and educational events in the Greater Victoria Region.
