As part of its 50th Anniversary Season, the Belfry will host an interactive open house on Saturday, January 10.
This is a kid and adult-friendly free event for people of all ages.

Victoria, BC...On Saturday, January 10, from 12 noon to 4 pm, the Belfry Theatre will host an interactive open house. The event features guided or self-guided building tours, interactive and static displays, and a (ticketed) historical walking tour of Fernwood by John Adams from Discover the Past Walking Tours.
The Belfry's Interactive Open House is sponsored by Splashes Bath & Kitchen.
THE RUNDOWN
Meet the Donuts
At the start of every rehearsal period, the Belfry holds Meet the Donuts, where the cast and creative team meet the Belfry staff. For our Open House, we invite people to stop by, introduce themselves and grab a free hot coffee, hot apple cider, tea, or hot chocolate.
Staff will give patrons the lay of the land, get them started on our scavenger hunt contest, and send them on their way to explore the building and our interactive displays.
Scavenger Hunt Contest
We’re hiding clues around the building. Patrons will get a contest sheet (and pencil), and as they explore, it will give them things to look for and random Belfry questions to answer.
They can win tickets to see our acclaimed presentation of Maanomaa, My Brother (My Bird, My Brother) that runs from February 3 to March 1, 2026.
INTERACTIVE DISPLAYS
Our interactive displays will be up throughout the Open House – when you check in, we can give you the times.
Darts with Dale
What it says on the tin, but with Dale and Peter, our carpenters, who will also be around to answer your questions in the carpentry shop.
Things that go pew-pew (kid-friendly)
Interactive sound demonstration with Jeremy, our Technical Director, on the Main Stage.
Blinded by the LX (kid-friendly)
Interactive lighting demonstration with Keith, our Head Technician, on the Main Stage.
Photobooth (kid-friendly)
Come and have your picture taken on our big, green, comfy couch in our lobby (we’ll send a link to the pictures after the event).
Painting a Pollock (kid-friendly) TBC
Scenic Artist Carole will show you the fine art of spattering.
STATIC DISPLAYS
How a Show Comes Together (or How We Learned to Love Excel) – BMO STUDIO

The Room Where It Was Written - BELFRY TOWER
